Why Architects Partner With Us

A partner who makes you look good

Built to your drawings

Your design intent is the brief. We execute it precisely — and raise any buildability or horticultural issue early, with the decision always yours.

On programme, cleanly coordinated

We sequence soft-works, irrigation and planting around the other trades, arrive at the right moment, and hand back a clean, finished site.

Planting built for the Cyprus climate

A decade of Mediterranean planting in Cyprus soil, heat and wind — species chosen to establish and endure, not just to look right on handover day.

A discreet single point of contact

One partner who anticipates, communicates, and stays in the background — so your client only ever sees a project that runs smoothly.

Built for the Cyprus Landscape

A garden that survives its first summer

Cyprus gardens fail for predictable reasons — salt-laden coastal wind, summer drought stress, and irrigation built for a wetter climate. We specify soft-works and planting for this ground.

Coastal & salt exposure

Near the sea, salt-laden wind scorches tender foliage. We specify salt-tolerant species and windbreak planting so the design survives its first exposed summer.

Summer drought

Across the south coast, summers run for months without meaningful rain. We choose drought-adapted Mediterranean planting and group species by water need, so the garden thrives on realistic irrigation.

Irrigation that fits the climate

We coordinate efficient drip and zoned systems built for Cypriot summers — designed for this climate, not retrofitted from a wetter-climate plan.

Soil, levels & microclimate

Cyprus soils are often thin, alkaline and stony. We assess soil, levels and exposure before a single plant is specified, so the planting schedule is realistic.

What We Specify Against

The climate your drawings have to survive

Planting and irrigation that ignore these numbers fail in the first summer. This is the reality we specify soft-works and water systems against.

≈500 mm

Cyprus averages about 500 mm of rain a year, and from June to August rainfall is almost negligible — under 5% of the annual total. A Cyprus garden is kept alive by irrigation and design, not by summer rain.

13.7%

In February 2026 Cyprus's reservoirs held just 13.7% of capacity — the lowest dam inflows since records began in 1901 — and Paphos district enforced a 30% cut in irrigation water. On the south coast, water-wise planting is no longer optional.

≈70%

About 70% of all water used in Cyprus goes to irrigation and roughly 20% to households. In a country this water-stressed, an efficient irrigation system and drought-tolerant planting are the difference between a garden that survives the summer and one that doesn't.

How We Work With You

From drawings to handover

  1. Drawings & site review

We read your drawings and the site together — soil, exposure, levels, access — and flag anything worth knowing before work starts.

  2. Programme & trade coordination

We slot soft-works, irrigation and planting into your construction programme and sequence cleanly around the other trades.

  3. Soft-works & planting

Hardscape detailing, irrigation and planting executed to spec by our own teams — built to last in the Mediterranean climate.

  4. Handover with your client

A clean, finished garden, presented the way you'd want it — with you leading the relationship throughout.

  5. Aftercare & maintenance

Optional maintenance programmes establish the planting through its first seasons, so it still looks like the render a year on.

A Team You Can Put In Front Of A Client

More than a decade of high-end landscaping across Cyprus — private villas, boutique hotels, resort grounds and residential developments — delivered by a family team that treats every project like its own home.

Questions Architects Ask

Yes. Green Planet Gardening operates as a soft-works delivery partner for architects, designers and developers: we work to your drawings and documentation standards, coordinating planting specification, irrigation and handover so the finished landscape matches your design intent. You keep design control; we bring the horticultural depth and on-site execution that turns the drawing into a living garden.

We build to your drawings. Your design intent is the brief and we execute it precisely. Where we spot a buildability or horticultural issue, we flag it early with options — but the decision always stays with you.

We'll tell you before it goes in the ground, not after it fails. If a specified species won't establish in the site's soil, exposure or the Cyprus climate, we propose a like-for-like alternative that holds your design intent — and we only proceed once you've approved it.

We work to your programme and around the other trades — sequencing soft-works, irrigation and planting so we arrive at the right moment and leave a clean, finished site. A single site contact keeps the coordination simple.

You do, unless you ask otherwise. We stay in the background as your partner; the relationship with your client is yours. When you'd like us in front of the client, we represent the project the way you would.

Every project is quoted from the drawings and a site review. Soft-works scope, the planting schedule, irrigation and site access all affect the figure, so we don't publish fixed prices. Send us your site plan and we respond with a clear, documented proposal you can put in front of your client — with no obligation.

Yes. In the Cyprus climate, water-wise design is simply good design. We favour drought-adapted Mediterranean planting, group species by water need, and specify efficient drip irrigation — keeping the garden healthy through the summer while holding water use and running costs down.

Planting is only finished once it's established. We offer maintenance programmes that carry the garden through its first seasons and beyond — so the project still looks like the render a year after handover.

We work right along Cyprus's southern coast — Limassol, where we take on much of our high-end work, plus Paphos, Larnaca and Ayia Napa. We're a Paphos-registered company, but you'll find our teams across the whole coast. Tell us where the site is and we'll confirm.

Yes. Large villa and hospitality projects rarely run in one block, so we plan soft-works and planting in phases that fit your construction programme and the planting seasons.

Send us your drawings — we'll tell you honestly what we'd do, and what we wouldn't.
