Your garden disappears at nine o'clock
A Mediterranean garden earns its keep in the evening. That is when the terrace fills, when guests arrive, when you actually sit outside. Yet most villa gardens in Cyprus go completely flat after dark. The mature olive you chose for its silver leaf becomes a black shape. The dry stone wall, the gravel bed, the clipped rosemary, all of it vanishes, and the only thing you can see is the reflection of your own sitting room in the glass.
Owners usually try to fix this with whatever is on the shelf. A few stakes pushed into the bed, all pointing the same way, all set on a cold blue light that turns silver foliage grey and makes the render look damp. The panels end up under the canopy they were meant to light, so they charge badly and fade by midnight. Within a season the stakes have shifted, half of them lean, and the effect reads as clutter rather than design.
Then there is the Cyprus factor. Salt carried inland from the coast, rendered walls that reach real heat by August, irrigation spraying across the fittings every morning, and planting that keeps growing and changing the angles you set last spring. Lighting that was never planned around the plants, the sun path and the maintenance routine does not settle in. It simply becomes another thing on the list that nobody has got round to.
Each lamp carries its own panel and battery. Nothing is trenched, nothing is metered, and the switching happens by itself at dusk.

Angle, beam spread and colour temperature matter more than raw output here, so we specify per bed and per specimen rather than repeating the same unit down the garden. Every order is confirmed with an invoice, and delivery across Cyprus can be arranged with installation.

We do not publish figures, because no two gardens light the same way. The number of specimens, the spread of the planting, cable free solar versus wired runs and the access on site all change the scope. We start with a free first consultation on site, walk the garden with you after dark where possible, and then send a written quotation for your project.
Usually low and close to the trunk for trees such as olive, carob and cypress, so the beam grazes the bark and picks up the canopy above. For shrubs and grasses we set the fitting further back with a wider spread. The aim is to light three or four strong subjects properly rather than every plant weakly, and we mark positions on site before anything is fixed.
We specify fittings rated for outdoor use and choose materials with coastal exposure and summer heat in mind, and we site panels where they get clear sun rather than shade from the planting itself. Salt air, dust on the panels and growth over the beam all affect performance over time, which is why we cover cleaning and re aiming as part of a maintenance visit.
For Mediterranean planting we lean warm. Warm white keeps olive foliage silver green and keeps limestone and render looking natural, while cooler tones tend to flatten leaf colour and read a little clinical against stone. We often mix, using a slightly cooler note only where a sculptural specimen or water feature benefits from it.
