Solar Bollard Lights for Villa Parking Areas and Garden Paths
Low, glare free posts that show where the car goes and where the path leads, from dusk until the small hours, with no cable trenches across your planting.
Planned, installed and maintained by us, across Cyprus, whether you are on the island or not.
The car park is guesswork after dark
Most Cyprus villas were handed over with one lamp above the front door and nothing else. The parking bay sits in complete darkness, so guests reverse towards the wall by feel, wing mirrors clip the render, and the edge of the gravel is found by the sound of a tyre leaving it. The path from the parking area to the entrance is worse still, because the surface changes from gravel to paving to a step that nobody sees the first time.
There is also the problem of what happens when you try to fix it. A wired scheme means trenching, and the trench has to cross the very driveway and planting beds you have just paid to lay. On an established garden that is weeks of disruption and a repair to the surface afterwards. Many owners look at that, decide it is too much, and leave the dark as it is for another season.
Then there are the cheap stake lights bought in a hurry. They tilt in the first strong wind off the sea, the plastic lenses go milky in a Cyprus summer, and by the second winter half of them do not come on at all. What was meant to solve the problem becomes a row of dead ornaments along the drive.
Each lamp carries its own panel and battery. Nothing is trenched, nothing is metered, and the switching happens by itself at dusk.
What separates these from supermarket solar stakes
A store sells the light and disappears
We install it, and we come back to maintain it. That is not a promise about the product, it is a checkable fact about how we work, and it is the one thing no box shipper can offer.
Numbers instead of adjectives
Not premium quality but IP65, Corten steel, 3000 lumens, made to order in three to four weeks. Numbers can be checked, which is exactly why they can be believed.
Honest about the battery
Batteries age. That is physics, not a defect. Ours are replaceable, spares are kept in stock, and we fit them for you.
For parking bays and path edges we use solid solar posts rather than lightweight stake lamps. They are anchored properly, sized for the distance they have to cover, and chosen so that the light falls on the ground where it is needed instead of into the eyes of anyone walking towards it. Which model suits your layout depends on the width of the parking area, the length of the path and how much sun the spot actually receives during the day, and that is something we look at on site.

It depends on the size of the bay and the route people walk from the car to the door. As a rough working principle we mark the corners and the edges of the manoeuvring area first, then space the remaining posts along the path so that no stretch is left as a dark gap. We set the final layout during the free initial consultation, once we have seen the plot and where the sun falls.
Good units with a properly sized battery will run through the dark hours after a normal Cyprus day of sun. In midwinter, or after several overcast days in a row, runtime is shorter. We allow for that when we specify the model, and we place the posts where they get real daylight rather than where they merely look tidy on a plan.
No. That is the main reason owners choose solar bollards for an existing garden. There are no cables back to the house and no trench across the drive or the planting beds. Each post is anchored at its own position and the surrounding surface is made good.
Every garden is different, so we do not publish figures. The number of posts, the anchoring required and the ground conditions all change the picture. We quote after a free initial consultation on site, and every order is invoiced.
Coastal plots in Cyprus are hard on outdoor fittings, which is why we specify units built for the conditions rather than the lightest thing available. We can also take on the ongoing care, so that glass is kept clean and any unit that stops performing is dealt with as part of a maintenance visit.
