The brightest solar garden lights we install
Brightness is the specification everyone asks about first. Here are the real numbers in the range, and what each one is for.
The brightest solar garden lights we install deliver 3000 lumens from a single head, which is street lamp territory, with the park lamp close behind at 2800. For scale, the brightest path lights in this year's consumer magazine tests measure 150 to 250 lumens. Between the extremes sit 2200, 600, 460 and 280 lumen lamps, each sized to a job rather than to a headline.
The ladder, from marker to street light
At the quiet end, the 280 lumen outdoor post marks a route without lighting it like a runway, and the 460 and 600 lumen garden posts carry paths and planting beds. The 2200 lumen post is the workhorse for courtyards and short drives.
At the top, the 2800 lumen park lamp and the 3000 lumen street lamp sit on 3 to 4 metre poles and light genuinely public scale ground, a full driveway at one lamp every 8 to 10 metres, a car park, a community lane.
Why maximum is usually the wrong buy
A garden reads as lit through contrast, not wattage. One 3000 lumen head in a small courtyard produces glare, hard shadows and a complaint from the neighbour, where three 460 lumen posts would have made the same space feel calm and expensive.
So the honest advice from the people selling the bright ones: buy the level the job needs. The drive gets the street lamp. The jasmine gets 460 lumens. Nobody needs their herb bed floodlit.
Placement is half the brightness
A lamp at the right height, aimed at stone or foliage rather than into eyes, looks brighter than a stronger lamp placed carelessly. This is the part that comes with installation rather than in the carton, and it is why we plan positions on site before quoting a count.
The honest limits
A solar head will not out-throw wired stadium optics, and a job that genuinely needs floodlighting, a sports court say, is the wrong place for it. For a driveway, a courtyard or a whole villa garden, 2200 to 3000 lumens placed correctly is more light than most owners expect.
The top of the ladder, if the job calls for it: the 3000 lumen street lamp and the 2800 lumen park lamp. Solar Street Lamp 3000 lm · Solar Park Lamp 2800 lm
The next questions
With the 3000 lumen street lamp, one head every 8 to 10 metres lights a drive end to end, so a 40 metre run takes four to five. We measure and give a fixed count before you order.
For planting beds and terraces, yes, deliberately so. That head exists for drives, car parks and lanes. Around seating and greenery the 280 to 600 lumen lamps do the flattering work.
The bright heads carry panels and batteries sized to match, charge in 8 to 9 hours of sun and hold about three nights of reserve, the same arithmetic as the small ones at larger scale.
