Outdoor Lighting for Cyprus Villas

Lamp Post Lights for Villa Entrances and Approaches

An entrance is the first thing a guest reads about a house. We place lamp post lights along gates, thresholds and approach drives so the arrival feels calm, legible and unmistakably yours.

Planned, installed and maintained by us, across Cyprus, whether you are on the island or not.

The gate is found by headlights, and everything after it disappears

Most villa approaches in Cyprus were built for daylight. The gate sits back from the road, the drive curves past an olive or a row of oleander, and after sunset none of it reads. Visitors slow to a crawl looking for the entrance, delivery drivers miss it entirely, and the last few metres between car and front door are walked by phone torch. The garden you paid to have designed simply stops existing at dusk.

Owners try to fix it in pieces. A floodlight over the gate that dazzles anyone arriving and floods the neighbour's terrace. A string of cheap stake lights along the drive that lean, fade after a season of Paphos sun, and give up entirely by the third overcast night. Nothing lines up, colour temperatures clash, and the approach ends up looking busier at night than it does by day.

Then there is the practical side. Trenching a wired circuit up a long private drive means cutting through planting, paving or dry stone that has already been laid, and coastal plots add salt air and wind to the equation. So the decision gets postponed, another winter passes, and the entrance stays dark.

Each lamp carries its own panel and battery. Nothing is trenched, nothing is metered, and the switching happens by itself at dusk.

Why Not Just Order a Box

What separates these from supermarket solar stakes

A store sells the light and disappears

We install it, and we come back to maintain it. That is not a promise about the product, it is a checkable fact about how we work, and it is the one thing no box shipper can offer.

Numbers instead of adjectives

Not premium quality but IP65, Corten steel, 3000 lumens, made to order in three to four weeks. Numbers can be checked, which is exactly why they can be believed.

Honest about the battery

Batteries age. That is physics, not a defect. Ours are replaceable, spares are kept in stock, and we fit them for you.

The Lamps We Quote Here

We specify lamp posts by the job they do: a low, warm post to mark a threshold or a planting bed, a taller unit where an approach drive needs even spacing over distance, and a street grade lamp where a long private access road has to be read at speed. These are the solar posts we work with most often on Cypriot villa entrances.

Good To Know

Asked before ordering

It depends on the length of the drive, the curve of it, and how much output each post gives. As a rough working principle we space posts so the pools of light just meet rather than overlap heavily, which keeps the approach even without turning it into a runway. Pambos walks the drive with you at dusk during the free initial consultation and marks positions on site before anything is ordered.

Cyprus gives generous winter sun compared with northern Europe, and quality solar posts are sized with that in mind. What matters more is siting: a post shaded by a mature carob or set against a north facing wall will underperform regardless of its rating. We check sun exposure at each proposed position, and where a spot is genuinely poor we move the post or change the specification rather than hope.

For solar posts, no cabling is run back to the house, so an established drive, paving or planting does not have to be cut open. Each post is anchored properly so it stays upright in wind and stays true over time. If a project mixes solar with wired circuits, any wired element is handled by a qualified electrician as part of the works.

We do not publish figures, because no two approaches are alike. The number of posts, the ground you are anchoring into, access along the drive and the specification all move the total. Every project is calculated individually and you receive a written quotation after a free initial consultation, with an invoice issued for each order.

Angelos runs maintenance, so lamp posts are simply folded into the visits your garden already receives: panels wiped clear of dust and salt film, fixings checked, planting kept back from the light path. Batteries are consumable items and are replaced when performance drops, which we flag rather than leave for you to notice.

Yes, and it is common. Because solar posts do not need a trenched supply, they can be introduced to a finished entrance or drive without disturbing what is already planted or paved. Marios and the build team set them so they read as part of the original design rather than an afterthought.
