Landscape Spotlights for Mediterranean Planting and Stonework
A Mediterranean garden is built from texture: silver olive bark, clipped rosemary, honey-coloured stone. Spotlights are what keep that texture visible once the sun drops behind the hills.
Planned, installed and maintained by us, across Cyprus, whether you are on the island or not.
The garden disappears the moment the sun goes down
In Cyprus the light changes fast. At six in the evening the stonework glows and the olive trunks look sculptural, and twenty minutes later the whole garden is a flat black wall outside the glass doors. Most villas end up compensating with one bright fitting over the terrace, which lights the furniture, bleaches the nearest plants and leaves everything beyond it in darkness.
The second problem is placement. Spotlights bought in a box and pushed into the soil at random tend to light the ground, not the plant. Beams sit too high and glare straight into the dining area, or too low so only the mulch is lit. Retaining walls, carved limestone and gravel beds have a grain that only shows up when the light grazes them from the right angle, and that angle is specific to each wall.
Then the climate joins in. Spikes loosen in dry summer soil, beams drift out of line after the first strong wind, salt air works on cheap housings near the coast, and planting grows. An olive canopy that was perfectly framed in spring overshoots the beam by autumn, so a scheme that was never set up to be adjusted slowly stops making sense.
Each lamp carries its own panel and battery. Nothing is trenched, nothing is metered, and the switching happens by itself at dusk.
What separates these from supermarket solar stakes
A store sells the light and disappears
We install it, and we come back to maintain it. That is not a promise about the product, it is a checkable fact about how we work, and it is the one thing no box shipper can offer.
Numbers instead of adjectives
Not premium quality but IP65, Corten steel, 3000 lumens, made to order in three to four weeks. Numbers can be checked, which is exactly why they can be believed.
Honest about the battery
Batteries age. That is physics, not a defect. Ours are replaceable, spares are kept in stock, and we fit them for you.
These are the fittings we reach for most often when the job is accenting planting and stonework rather than lighting a route. All are solar, so there is no cabling to cut through established root plates, and all are sited, aimed and set up on your plot by us.
Asked before ordering
Fewer than most people expect. A good scheme picks three or four subjects worth looking at, perhaps an olive, a cypress group, a stone wall and a specimen pot, and leaves the space between them dark so the lit parts read clearly. Lighting everything flattens the garden. We walk the plot after dark with you before deciding anything.
Yes. The heads we fit tilt and rotate, and the setting up is done at night when we can see the result rather than guessing in daylight. Grazing a wall usually means placing the fitting close to the base and raking the beam upwards along the surface, which is why position matters as much as the fitting itself.
That is normal and it is part of planning. Beams get re-aimed as canopies lift and shrubs widen, and this is something Angelos and the maintenance side look at on regular visits. If you later want more accents in a new bed, additional fittings can usually be added to an existing scheme.
Not if they are aimed away from sightlines and shielded where needed. The common mistake is a beam that crosses a seating area at eye height. We check the view from the terrace, the pool and the main windows as part of setting up, because the point is to see the garden, not the lights.
Start with the free first consultation. Pambos handles the enquiry, the site visit and the written proposal, and every garden is costed individually because plot size, planting maturity and how much stonework you want picked out all change the answer. Nothing is quoted from a photograph.

Tell us about the garden, or send a few photos. We suggest positions and a lamp count, you get a clear picture of what it would take, and you decide in your own time.
