Outdoor Lighting in Cyprus
Sensor Activated Wall Lights for Villa Entrances and Courtyards
Wall mounted light that wakes when you arrive and settles back down when the courtyard is quiet, so arrivals, gates and side passages stay legible after dark.
Planned, installed and maintained by us, across Cyprus, whether you are on the island or not.
The entrance works beautifully by day and disappears at night
Most villa entrances in Cyprus were designed for daylight. The stonework, the planting and the front door all read perfectly at four in the afternoon, and then at nine in the evening the whole arrival sequence turns into a flat black wall. Guests feel for the gate latch, keys get dropped, and the step up to the threshold is invisible until someone finds it with a toe.
Courtyards behave the same way, only worse. They are enclosed, so no borrowed light reaches them from the street, and they are usually the route between the parking, the kitchen door and the pool. Owners end up leaving one harsh bulb burning all night, which flattens the planting, spills into bedroom windows and irritates the neighbours, or they leave it off and stop using the space after sunset altogether.
Then there is the coastal reality. Fittings bought in a hurry rust at the fixings within a season or two of salt air, sensors trigger at every passing cat, and warm white and cool white units end up mixed along the same wall so the entrance looks assembled rather than designed. What is missing is not another light. It is a scheme that decides where light is needed, for how long, and at what temperature.
Each lamp carries its own panel and battery. Nothing is trenched, nothing is metered, and the switching happens by itself at dusk.
What separates these from supermarket solar stakes
A store sells the light and disappears
We install it, and we come back to maintain it. That is not a promise about the product, it is a checkable fact about how we work, and it is the one thing no box shipper can offer.
Numbers instead of adjectives
Not premium quality but IP65, Corten steel, 3000 lumens, made to order in three to four weeks. Numbers can be checked, which is exactly why they can be believed.
Honest about the battery
Batteries age. That is physics, not a defect. Ours are replaceable, spares are kept in stock, and we fit them for you.
Wall fittings are specified per property, because mounting height, wall build up and exposure differ from one entrance to the next. Alongside them we often work these solar pieces into the same scheme, so the courtyard, the path in and the planting beds all sit in one family of light rather than competing with each other.

Usually both, in different places. Arrival points such as the gate, the front steps and the courtyard door respond well to a motion sensor, because you want a clear lift of light when someone approaches and darkness the rest of the night. Softer background light on planting or a boundary wall is often better on a dusk to dawn setting at a low level. We walk the property with you and decide zone by zone.
Solar units depend on how much daylight the panel actually collects, so a north facing courtyard wall in December behaves differently from an open south facing entrance. That is why we check panel placement rather than assuming it, and where a wall genuinely cannot gather enough light we say so and look at a wired or hybrid option instead.
Coastal and near coastal properties need fittings and fixings chosen for that exposure, sealed to a sensible ingress rating, and then kept clean. Panels and lenses pick up dust and salt film, which quietly reduces output, so gentle cleaning is part of normal upkeep. Angelos looks after maintenance rounds and can fold lighting checks into an existing visit.
We do not publish figures, because no two entrances need the same number of fittings, the same cable routes or the same sensor zones. Every project is calculated individually. The first consultation is free, and Pambos prepares a written quotation for your property after that visit.
Typically a compact entrance and courtyard scheme is a short installation once the design is agreed, while schemes that run with new planting or hard landscaping follow that programme instead. We give indicative spans only, and confirmed timings appear in your quotation rather than on this page.
