Smart Garden Spotlighting for Villas and Resort Grounds
Many owners start by searching for a philips hue spotlight and then discover the garden has no outdoor circuits at all. We plan the lighting scheme first, then choose fittings that suit a Mediterranean garden, including solar spotlights that need no trenching.
Planned, installed and maintained by us, across Cyprus, whether you are on the island or not.
The garden is beautiful by day and invisible by night
You have bought the villa, the planting is going in, and the terrace looks the way you imagined. Then the sun drops behind the hill and everything you paid for disappears. The olive tree, the stone wall, the line of cypresses, the pool edge: all of it turns into one flat shadow. Guests stand on the terrace and there is nothing to look at.
So you start reading about smart spotlights, app control and scenes, and the products look straightforward until you check the garden itself. There is one socket near the back door, no conduit under the new paving, and the mains kit you liked is rated for a mild northern climate rather than for Cyprus sun, salt air and summer heat. Adding wired circuits after the hard landscaping is finished usually means lifting what has just been laid.
On a resort or a rental property the pressure is different again. Paths and steps have to read clearly for people who do not know the grounds, the look has to stay consistent across every building, and nobody wants a maintenance team resetting timers and chasing failed drivers during the season. The question is no longer which spotlight to buy. It is how the whole garden should be lit, and what will still be working in three summers.
Each lamp carries its own panel and battery. Nothing is trenched, nothing is metered, and the switching happens by itself at dusk.
What separates these from supermarket solar stakes
A store sells the light and disappears
We install it, and we come back to maintain it. That is not a promise about the product, it is a checkable fact about how we work, and it is the one thing no box shipper can offer.
Numbers instead of adjectives
Not premium quality but IP65, Corten steel, 3000 lumens, made to order in three to four weeks. Numbers can be checked, which is exactly why they can be believed.
Honest about the battery
Batteries age. That is physics, not a defect. Ours are replaceable, spares are kept in stock, and we fit them for you.
These are the fittings we reach for most often when we light planting, trees and feature walls in Cypriot gardens. All are solar, so they can be positioned by where the light is needed rather than by where a cable happens to run, and repositioned as the planting grows. We plan the scheme first and then select from these.

Smart mains fittings of that kind need outdoor circuits, a weatherproof supply and a hub within range, so they suit gardens where the electrical work is either already in place or still to be done as part of a build. If your garden is finished and has no outdoor circuits, we will usually propose a solar spotlight scheme instead, because it avoids trenching through new paving and planting. We look at your garden, explain both routes honestly and let you decide.
For uplighting a specimen tree, a feature wall or a group of planting, yes, provided the fitting is matched to the job and the panel gets proper sun during the day. What matters is beam angle, placement distance and output, not simply buying the brightest unit available. We test positions on site before anything is fixed, because a spotlight aimed well at moderate output beats a strong one pointed badly.
We work from a lighting plan rather than fitting by fitting. That means one colour temperature family across the grounds, a consistent mounting height for each type of application, and a clear separation between the light that guides people along paths and steps and the light that is purely decorative. Maintenance is then predictable, because the team is looking after a small number of repeated details instead of a collection of one offs.
The first consultation is free. Every garden is different in size, terrain, planting and access, so we do not publish figures. After we have walked the site and agreed what the lighting needs to do, you receive a written quotation for your project, and an invoice is issued with any order.
It depends on the size of the grounds and on whether any hard landscaping or planting work runs alongside it. A solar spotlight scheme on a finished villa garden is typically a short installation, while lighting designed into a new build usually follows the construction programme. We give you a realistic timeframe with your quotation rather than a date before we have seen the site.

Tell us about the garden, or send a few photos. We suggest positions and a lamp count, you get a clear picture of what it would take, and you decide in your own time.
