Tala's established gardens are their own argument against trenching. Cable routes would cut through root zones that took two decades to build and paths that have settled into the hillside, and the disruption shows for seasons.
Solar lighting arrives without opening anything. The best specimens finally get their evening presence, and the garden that took twenty years to mature is not asked to pay for it.
Each lamp carries its own panel and battery. Nothing is trenched, nothing is metered, and the switching happens by itself at dusk.

Asked before ordering
Yes, that is a real advantage here. A spotlight set stands on the surface at the foot of the tree, and a post footing is a small isolated excavation we place clear of major roots, nothing like the continuous trench cable needs.
No shared infrastructure exists between the two, which is exactly the point. The lamps touch neither pipes nor wiring, and installation happens without a single line being cut.
