When the yard stops looking after itself
You bought the villa for the outdoor life, and for a few weeks it looked the way it did in the photographs. Then the Paphos summer arrived. The lawn browned in patches, the bougainvillea threw itself over the path, the olive went shaggy, and the irrigation started watering one bed twice and another not at all. Nothing has failed exactly, but nothing looks intentional any more either.
Searching for a yard service near you turns up a scattered picture: someone who cuts grass, someone else who prunes, a third person for the irrigation, and nobody who takes responsibility for how the whole plot reads. If you are away part of the year, the problem compounds. You return to growth that has gone its own way and jobs that were quietly skipped while no one was watching.
There is also the question of what the garden should be doing at all. An empty plot, a tired planting scheme inherited from the previous owner, a terrace that bakes because nothing was planted for shade. Those are design decisions, not tidying decisions, and a mower alone will never resolve them.
Each lamp carries its own panel and battery. Nothing is trenched, nothing is metered, and the switching happens by itself at dusk.

It is built around your plot rather than a fixed menu. Typically it includes mowing and edging, pruning and shaping, bed care and mulching, irrigation checks and seasonal adjustment, feeding where appropriate, and green waste removal. Design, planting and hard landscaping can be handled by the same team, so the upkeep follows the intent of the garden instead of working against it.
Every property is priced individually, because a compact courtyard and a terraced hillside plot are entirely different pieces of work. We look at the size, the planting, the access and how often you want us on site, then put a written quotation together. The first consultation is free and carries no obligation.
It depends on the planting and the season. Growth in a Cyprus spring is fast, and high summer is more about water management and shade than cutting. Most owners settle on a rhythm that steps up in the growing months and eases back in winter. We will suggest a schedule after seeing the plot and you can adjust it as the garden matures.
Yes. A good number of the properties we care for are used seasonally. We keep the grounds in order between visits and let you know if something needs a decision, so you arrive to a garden that is ready rather than a list of jobs.
Cyprus has irrigation rules that vary by area and by year, and restrictions have been announced for Larnaca for 2026. We plan planting and irrigation to work within whatever rules apply where you are, which usually means drought tolerant species, efficient drip lines and sensible timing. Boreholes and rainwater harvesting are subject to permits here, so those are checked case by case rather than assumed.
Timescales vary with the scope, the site and the season for planting. A refresh of existing beds is usually short work, while a full build with hard landscaping typically runs considerably longer. We give an indicative programme with the quotation and confirm dates once the design is agreed.
Yes. We collaborate with architects on high end residential projects and also work with hospitality operators and developers, where the landscape needs to be resolved alongside the building rather than added at the end.
