Two Larnaca gardens of the same size can be a world apart in cost, and the gap is almost never the mowing. It is the irrigation, the starting condition, and how much detail the planting carries. We would rather walk the garden, write the scope down and price that, than quote a number now and discover the real job in month two.

Size and how detailed the planting is
A courtyard of pots and a half-acre plot with mature trees are not the same job. Area sets the floor, but planting density and how fine the detail is set most of the hours.
How often we visit
Weekly keeps a garden composed at its best. Bi-weekly suits quieter gardens and costs less per month, though each visit is heavier. In Larnaca the gap matters more than it does further west, because a dry fortnight here does more damage.
What the irrigation is like now
This is the Larnaca-specific one. An old system that leaks, waters at the wrong time or shares zones between lawn and shrubs raises both the water bill and the hours. Putting it right is usually a one-off cost that lowers the running one.
Where the garden is starting from
A kept garden is cheaper to maintain than one being brought back. A tired garden usually needs a reset first, and mature Phoenix palms need weevil protection on a routine, both of which we price separately and say so.
Access and ground
A flat villa lawn, a sloped plot and a roof terrace take different time for the same area. Plots near the salt lake sometimes need a salinity check before anyone can sensibly quote the planting.

In a restricted year, water is a real line rather than an afterthought. A garden that has been set up to drink less is cheaper to run, which is why we look at irrigation before we quote maintenance.

Irrigation is the part of a Larnaca quote that people expect least and notice most. These are the figures behind why we look at the system before we price the maintenance.
About 70% of all water used in Cyprus goes to irrigation and roughly 20% to households. In a country this water-stressed, an efficient irrigation system and drought-tolerant planting are the difference between a garden that survives the summer and one that doesn't.
In February 2026 Cyprus's reservoirs held just 13.7% of capacity — the lowest dam inflows since records began in 1901 — and Paphos district enforced a 30% cut in irrigation water. On the south coast, water-wise planting is no longer optional.

Cost Questions, Answered
It depends on the garden, and that is genuinely the only accurate answer. The price is set by size and planting detail, how often we visit, the condition of the irrigation, the access, and what the garden is starting from. Instead of a rate card that overcharges a small courtyard and quietly cuts corners on a large plot, we visit, agree a written scope and give a fixed price for that scope, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
Not in a way you should count on. Plots in Larnaca are often more generous for the money, which cuts both ways, because area is what drives hours. What does differ is the water side: Larnaca is drier, so irrigation matters more and a poor system costs more here than the same system would in Limassol. We price the garden in front of us rather than the district it sits in.
Because a real garden never matches a list. A flat per-visit rate either charges a small garden too much or forces corners on a large one, and neither is a relationship worth having. We would rather see the garden, scope the work properly, and quote fairly for exactly what yours needs.
Most ongoing maintenance runs as a regular monthly or per-visit price against an agreed scope and schedule, so you know what you are paying and what each visit covers. One-off work such as a major clean-up or large tree work is quoted separately, and it is all set out in writing before anything starts.
Often, and faster in a restricted year than in a normal one. We cannot promise a number without seeing the system, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can say is that the common faults, underground leaks, midday cycles and lawn and shrubs sharing a valve, waste water that never reaches a plant, so removing them lowers the bill without the garden noticing anything except better health.
Usually yes, and more so here than on the wetter coast. Small gardens are quick, and a light schedule stops the build-up that turns into an expensive rescue after one dry summer. If an occasional tidy genuinely makes more sense for your garden and budget, we will tell you that at the visit.
