Solar Garden Lighting in Cyprus

Solar Lamps for the Garden, Chosen for the Cyprus Climate

Three brothers, one Paphos based team, turning Mediterranean landscapes into living art. We plan and install solar lamps that suit a Cyprus garden rather than a northern European one.

Planned, installed and maintained by us, across Cyprus, whether you are on the island or not.

Why most solar lamps look tired after one Cyprus summer

You bought lamps that looked convincing in the box. The first evenings were promising, then the light started to fade before midnight, the plastic went milky in the sun, and by the second summer half the row along the path had stopped coming on at all. Meanwhile the garden you actually paid attention to sits in darkness from sunset onwards, which is exactly when you use it.

A Cyprus garden asks more of a lamp than a mild climate does. Long hours of hard sunlight, surface temperatures that stay high well into the night, salt carried inland on the wind near the coast, dust from the meltemi season, and irrigation spray that finds every seal. Fittings designed for gentler conditions are simply the wrong tool, and no amount of good intentions makes them last.

There is a second problem that has nothing to do with the hardware. Lamps get placed where it is easy to push a spike into the ground, not where the garden needs light. Steps stay dim, the pool surround glares, the driveway is over lit and the terrace, where you sit every evening, gets almost nothing. The result feels random, and a random garden at night undoes the work you did on it by day.

Each lamp carries its own panel and battery. Nothing is trenched, nothing is metered, and the switching happens by itself at dusk.

Why Not Just Order a Box

What separates these from supermarket solar stakes

A store sells the light and disappears

We install it, and we come back to maintain it. That is not a promise about the product, it is a checkable fact about how we work, and it is the one thing no box shipper can offer.

Numbers instead of adjectives

Not premium quality but IP65, Corten steel, 3000 lumens, made to order in three to four weeks. Numbers can be checked, which is exactly why they can be believed.

Honest about the battery

Batteries age. That is physics, not a defect. Ours are replaceable, spares are kept in stock, and we fit them for you.

The Lamps We Quote Here

These are the fittings we reach for most often in Cyprus gardens. Each one is chosen for how it behaves in real heat and real coastal air, and we match the model to the spot rather than repeating the same lamp along the whole boundary.

Good To Know

Asked before ordering

Cyprus gives you generous sunshine hours for most of the year, which suits solar lighting well. What matters more is the panel quality, the battery, the IP rating and where the lamp is placed. A fitting shaded by a mature olive or an overhanging pergola will underperform no matter how good it is, so we walk the garden and check the sun path before we recommend anything.

We specify fittings intended for coastal and high temperature conditions, with sealed housings and materials such as Corten steel or treated aluminium that age gracefully instead of degrading. We also plan a simple cleaning routine, since dusty panels are the most common cause of dim light in Cyprus, and we explain that routine when we hand the garden over.

Solar lamps need no mains cable, no trenching across a planted bed and no meter connection, so installation is far less disruptive than wired lighting. Where an existing wired circuit is already in place we will look at it together and discuss the sensible options with you before anything is decided.

Every garden is different in size, layout and access, so we do not quote from a list. We start with a free initial consultation on site, then prepare a written proposal for your project. Timings are given as typical ranges in that proposal rather than as fixed dates, and orders are always invoiced.

Tell us about the garden, or send a few photos. We suggest positions and a lamp count, you get a clear picture of what it would take, and you decide in your own time.

Ask for the plan

Green Planet Gardening plans, installs and maintains solar garden lighting across Cyprus, rather than just supplying the lights. See the full range or ask us for a free lighting plan.
