The driest coast is not automatically the best one for a panel
Larnaca sees around 330mm of rain a year against roughly 430mm on the western coast, and more sun on paper means more charge. What the figure hides is that rain is also what washes a panel. Fewer rains mean dust sits longer, and a dusty panel charges at a fraction of a clean one while looking perfectly fine from the ground.
The salt lake adds its own film on the western side of the city, and the plots out toward it are the ones where it shows first. None of this is a reason against solar in Larnaca. It is a reason to treat the panel as something that gets looked after, which is the part a box shipper never mentions.

Good To Know
Asked before ordering
More often than on the wetter west coast, and less often than people fear. A rinse with a hose is the whole procedure. For maintenance customers it rides along with the garden visit, so nobody has to remember it.
It affects the panel film more than the housing. Properties close to the lake pick up a fine deposit that dulls charging, which is why we specify sealed housings and put those gardens on a slightly shorter cleaning rhythm rather than pretending the air is the same everywhere.
It is one of the better fits we see. There is no meter running while the house is empty, no circuit to fail unattended, and a garden that is lit when someone arrives late from the airport. Motion mode stretches the battery a long way in a house that is empty most weeks.
